Gideon – Dethroning Idols
In this message, we see how, before facing the Midianites, God calls Gideon to deal with the idols in his own life. We explore how God calls us to identify and confront the idols we cling to, and why turning and looking to Him is always so much better.
Gideon - Call and response
In this message, we explore Gideon’s encounter with God in Judges 6 - his doubts, God’s call, and Gideon’s response. We see how God initiates, calls the weak, and transforms lives. We also see how Gideon co-operates with God’s call, which raises the question, how do we keep our hearts receptive what God is saying and doing?
Gideon, Breaking the Cycle
Judges reveals a cycle of complacency, compromise, and struggle that speaks to the human condition and at times can even mirror our own lives. Yet when people cry out, God responds with grace. Gideon’s story shows our need for transformation, God’s willingness to rescue, and reminds us how critical it is to believe God’s word as we seek to break the cycle.
Emmaus road: journeying with Jesus
In this message we look at how Jesus journeys with us through hard seasons and the challenge to us to believe Him, to remember His word and to know that we are not alone.
Baptism: The Symbol, the Sign, and the Step
On Easter Sunday, we considered the significance of baptism as a powerful symbol of cleansing, a sign of belonging, and a step of faith. Rooted in Jesus’ death and resurrection, it reveals new life, identity, and hope. This message invites each of us to consider our response.
Jesus, Son of David!
In this message, we look the meaning of 'Palm Sunday', the event of the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, that we read about in the gospels. Taking a 'triple jump' through Scripture, we explore its significance in God's plan for salvation. In addition, we look at things that can hinder us 'seeing it' and living it out in our own lives.
A lineage of hope
In chapter 4 we see that God works to bring fullness and fruitfulness out of seasons of emptiness and barrenness. And that there is a hope for us. Because from the line of Ruth and Boaz would come a greater kinsman redeemer, Jesus, who gives us a hope and a future.
Jesus our Kinsman-Redeemer
In Ruth chapter 3 we see a beautiful picture of redemption. Boaz acts as Ruth’s kinsman-redeemer, stepping in to rescue and restore her. This points us to Jesus, our true Kinsman Redeemer, who comes near to redeem us, cover our shame, and secure our future. Ruth’s story helps us see the wonder of what Christ has done for us.
God is still at work
In the second message of our series on Ruth, we consider the truth that even in the midst of loss, when we cannot see it, God is still at work. Here we explore the question: How do you believe when you cannot see?
From Fullness to Emptiness
In the opening of our series on Ruth, we focus on the reality of suffering. Naomi has experienced almost every loss imaginable, yet even amidst her turmoil and grief, signs of hope begin to emerge. Our own lives can mirror this pattern, we go through seasons of emptiness and challenge. In this message, we will consider suffering, pain, and loss, and explore how, even in the midst of difficulty, God provides reasons for hope.
From Fear to Courage
In this sermon, Vahé looks at John 14 along with other texts to describe how we can move from fear to courage. What we need to know and what we need to experience in order to move from fear to courage, courage to face our fears, courage to believe in the promises of God and courage to live the lives Jesus has for us.
Believe - living a life marked by faith
Everyone wants to live a life that counts—bold, courageous, and shaped by deep conviction. Yet living that way isn’t easy. In this message, we explore what faith in Jesus really looks like, and how trust in Him is formed and expressed through both the big, defining moments and the small, everyday decisions of life. How do we grow, cultivate, and step into a life truly marked by faith?
Culture: Come With Us and We Will Do You Good
So often in leadership, the focus falls on structures, roles, vision, and goals. All of these matter. But there is another aspect of leadership that is sometimes less obvious, harder to define, yet just as important: culture.
In this talk, we reflect on what healthy culture looks like, why it shapes people more than we often realise, and how healthy leadership intentionally creates environments that do people good.
Leading together
In this new season at Redeemer, we’re revisiting the issue of leadership and why it is foundational to church life. In this message we explore the biblical vision for elders and deacons, reframing leadership as servant-hearted responsibility, shared authority, and care for God’s people, so the church can flourish and bless the city.
Leading well
In this new season of church life here at Redeemer, we’re revisiting the issue of leadership, and why it is such a foundation issue in church life.
In this message, we explore why leadership matters, why it can be sensitive, and how Scripture shapes a vision of leadership rooted in service, character, and humility. Drawing from the life of Jesus and the New Testament, we reflect on what it means to lead as stewards, not owners, so that the whole church can flourish.
Give us this day...
In this message we look at Jesus' prayer and teaching about letting go of false humility to ask our Father daily for provision, forgiveness, grace to forgive others, and deliverance from temptation, trusting that He delights to respond.
Your Kingdom Come
In this episode of the series Hsoc looks at the next part of the Lord’s prayer and explores what it means to pray for God’s kingdom to come in our lives and in our society.
Our Father
In this opening message of the series, we explore the importance of prayer in our lives and why Jesus teaches us to begin by knowing God as our Father.

Emmanuel, Jesus the great peace-bringer
In this message we reflect on how Jesus brings peace to the world and to our hearts, and how, because he is with us, fear no longer has the final word.
