Gideon - Let your kingdom come
In this message we explore Gideon’s victory over Midian and how it points to God’s Kingdom coming through Jesus. God uses ordinary, available people. Like Gideon, we are called to trust God’s promises and walk by faith, even when we feel weak or afraid. God hasn’t simply come to change our personal lives, He has come to draw us into His greater purposes as His Kingdom advances. Our stories are now part of something much bigger: God’s work in the world through His coming kingdom.
From fear to faith
In this message we look at how Gideon had to face challenges and fears when God thinned out his army from 30.000 men to only 300. In preparation of the battle to come, Gideon was tested in his obedience to God and learned to walk in humility and surrender. In our own lives we also face fears. The question is; do we follow the voice of our fear or God’s voice? We explore practical steps that can build our trust in God and help us to move from fear towards faith.
Hearing from God
In this message, Vahé looks at the life and story of Gideon and unpacks what Scripture has to say about developing a conversational relationship with God. A relationship where we converse together and ask for guidance. Vahé also explores how we can become the kind of people who naturally recognise God's voice and act on it.
Gideon – Dethroning Idols
In this message, we see how, before facing the Midianites, God calls Gideon to deal with the idols in his own life. We explore how God calls us to identify and confront the idols we cling to, and why turning and looking to Him is always so much better.
Gideon - Call and response
In this message, we explore Gideon’s encounter with God in Judges 6 - his doubts, God’s call, and Gideon’s response. We see how God initiates, calls the weak, and transforms lives. We also see how Gideon co-operates with God’s call, which raises the question, how do we keep our hearts receptive what God is saying and doing?
Gideon, Breaking the Cycle
Judges reveals a cycle of complacency, compromise, and struggle that speaks to the human condition and at times can even mirror our own lives. Yet when people cry out, God responds with grace. Gideon’s story shows our need for transformation, God’s willingness to rescue, and reminds us how critical it is to believe God’s word as we seek to break the cycle.
