The value of singleness
In this message we look at what Bible says about the value and purpose of singleness in the kingdom of God. How singleness, like marriage, is a picture of the church, the bride, that will one day be united with Christ, her groom. We also explore the importance of community and relationship in singleness; and how to hold both grief and hope, mourning and joy.
The Lord Our Shepherd
This message closes out our series on the Names of God, and focuses on the Lord our Shepherd. In Psalm 23, we meet the God who guides and leads us into green pastures and beside still waters, even as we walk through valley of the shadow of death. This Psalm is also a picture of the gospel, of Jesus our Good Shepherd, who came to find and rescue us.
A lineage of hope
In chapter 4 we see that God works to bring fullness and fruitfulness out of seasons of emptiness and barrenness. And that there is a hope for us. Because from the line of Ruth and Boaz would come a greater kinsman redeemer, Jesus, who gives us a hope and a future.
